Eastern University hold a program to receive the freshers (15th batch) & farewell 3rd batch Last Wednesday. There was stall also for students & faculty members by student entrepreneurs.

Eastern University encourages its students to participate extensively in a number of extra-curricular activities. Prominent among these English Language Club is the Club which has been designed to supplement class room teaching by informal and interactive learning arrangement where students and teachers freely and informally interact in English in the form of exchanging ideas, reciting poems, making short public speeches, holding debates, discussing current affairs, performing role plays, practicing anecdotal events etc.

The Computer Club of the University regularly arranges inter-departmental programming contests and also participates in the contests arranged elsewhere. The University's Debating Club regularly holds inter-departmental debating contests and also participates in Inter-University Debating Competitions. The University has a Cultural Club through which all cultural functions are arranged on all important occasions

The University is also alive to the responsibility of the students to society at large and as such arranges different social welfare activities such as Blood Donation Programs. In addition, the Sports and Games Club encourages students to participate in various games and athletic activities to maintain their physical fitness.
